About Fortville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Hancock County, Indiana, Fortville is an Indiana suburb with about 3,930 residents. The community was originally named Walpole but was later named after Cephas Fort, the original town site owner. One of the most recognizable landmarks in Fortville is a large statute of a pink elephant which can be seen wearing eyeglasses and drinking a martini.  Fortville has been awarded the distinction of Tree City USA for six consecutive years, and as of 2016, a Main Street redevelopment plan was taking place to spark redevelopment in the town.

Fortville is home to several interesting places to visit that both visitors and residents might enjoy. Art enthusiasts might like to visit the Ten West Center for the Arts or Studio 309.There are a variety of specialty shops located here, including Best of What’s Around, The Gypsy Chicks, Marsh Mutt, and What a Girl Wants Boutique. Visitors who are in need of a little pampering might also like to check out Studio Beauty or Michelle’s Hidden Spa.

With weather conditions that are extremely varied throughout the year, the right climate control systems can make all the difference in comfort level when living in Fortville. With average daily highs reaching the mid-80s, the summer months in Fortville are hot and humid, and severe weather with the occasional tornado are also possibilities. Residents will rely on their central air conditioning units during these months.

The winter months in Fortville tend to be cold and snowy, although actual accumulation totals will vary with the season. This can lead to some dangerous conditions both outdoors and indoors, especially if residents don’t have a reliable furnace. The right furnace or heat pump will keep residents safe and comfortable while also preventing pipes and plumbing from freezing during the coldest of days, and an energy-efficient model will keep heating costs at an affordable level.
